A meeting was held between the Chittagong Port Authority (CPA) and the SCIP team on 22^nd February, 2023. On behalf of the CPA, Member (Engineering) – Commodore Md. Mahbubur Rahman, Deputy Conservator – Captain Faridul Alam and Executive Engineer (Harbour) – Sabrina Haque were present. From the SCIP side, the German team and the whole SCIP CUET team were present. Prof. Kraft, Prof. Zuthi and Prof. Sudip presented the project’s progress in identifying the plastic that hampers the port activity. Niloy, the WG IV lead, explained the field scenario within the port area, thanked the port authority for their

continuous support and urged for further assistance to depict the material flow analysis of the generated waste within the Chittagong port. Commodore Md. Mahbubur Rahman and Captain Faridul Alam promised to extend their full support and cooperate to ensure a plastic-free marine environment. At last, Prof. Kraft handed over the souvenir of Bauhaus-Universität Weimar, Prof. Zuthi gave the souvenir from the CUET side and Dr.-Ing. Martin Zimmermann gave the souvenir on behalf of ISOE to Commodore Md. Mahbubur Rahman. Commodore Md. Mahbubur Rahman humbly accepted the souvenirs and handed the SCIP Project lead, Prof. Kraft a souvenir on behalf of CPA.
